Two free hands and a baby close to heart: how a sling changed everything
That is how our first month went. Every evening, I felt severe pain in my back and arms. Then I discovered baby slings — and our lives changed completely.
In her very first sling, our daughter fell asleep instantly and slept peacefully for almost three hours. During that time, I managed to get so many things done! It was a real revelation: two free hands, a baby snuggled against my chest, and her weight barely felt.
Soon I noticed that Leah almost stopped crying. It turned out the sling didn't just free my hands — it also helped ease colic, as the gentle warmth and belly-to-belly contact comforted our baby. From that moment on, I felt much more confident in my role as a mother. Oleksii embraced babywearing too, happily carrying our daughter in various ergonomic carriers.
From a personal need to our own brand
Despite loving the slings we had, I felt that every one of them was missing something. One had inconvenient buckles, another was made of stiff or overly hot fabric. That was when the idea was born to create our own, perfect sling.
We dove deep into preparation: consulting pediatricians, babywearing consultants, and lactation specialists, while thoroughly studying infant development and hip dysplasia prevention. By the time we held the first Love & Carry ergonomic carrier sample in our hands, we knew beyond a doubt that we were moving in the right direction.
Today, Love & Carry products meet international quality standards and are sold in many countries around the world. We continue to create new products together, educate parents, and learn ourselves. Drawing on our personal parenting experience with three children, we are reminded every day of the value of what we do, believing more than ever in the power and benefits of babywearing.
